Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition gets its first major update

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has released its first major update and provides fixes for Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

As detailed by Rockstar, these fixes include everything from “holes in the map” to “issues with character models in cutscenes” to Horribly shocking “rain visual effects issue” in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

As of this writing, the update is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox One. We’ll update this story when it releases on Nintendo Switch and PC.

This is all part of Rockstar’s plan to improve the quality of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition because, according to them, “the updated versions of these classic games have not been released in a state that meets our own quality standards, or the standards our fans expect. “

Additionally, Rockstar has given anyone who owns Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on PC the classic PC versions of Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as another way to make up for the problems. He also made these classic versions available, once again, on the Rockstar Store as a bundle.

These issues were noticed soon after launch, and they included quality issues, Switch specific issues, issues with the Rockstar Launcher, missing items, and more.

In our review of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, we said that this collection was “flawed, disappointing and surprisingly disrespectful to three classic games and their many legions of fans.”
