Recent Rockstar Games activity hints at the game’s potential reveal

  • More ‘GTA 6’ rumors have surfaced online
  • One of them alludes to the possible revelation of “Grand Theft Auto 6”
  • Rockstar Games hasn’t said anything about “GTA 6”

Rockstar Games is set to release a new version of “Grand Theft Auto 5” for the next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series game consoles, suggesting that the next “GTA” is still a few years away. Despite this, there is a recent job listing from the game studio that appears to offer clues to a potential event for “Grand Theft Auto 6”.

Last month a Publish in the subreddit “Grand Theft Auto 6” revealed that Rockstar Games will launch a huge marketing campaign. That said, the campaign would include live events, including updates for “GTA Online”. Apparently, the game studio’s recent job listing seems to point to the “GTA 6” marketing campaign rumors, somehow indicating that they are true.

Based on the job posting, Rockstar Games needs a Life Operations Coordinator in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. Success candidate will be responsible for executing all “in-game marketing campaigns for Red Dead Online and Grand Theft Auto Online”. In addition, they must provide support to the marketing team.

It seems that Rockstar Games wants to stress the importance of its titles “online”, hence its plans to launch a massive marketing campaign.

Some industry watchers believe the game studio might reveal the upcoming “Grand Theft Auto” title or the upcoming “Red Dead Redemption” content in these online games, just like Activision does for “Call of Duty.” Epic Games’ “Fortnite” kicked off this strategy and it looks like other developers are looking for ways to announce their new and upcoming projects through creative and strategic channels.

It would be a bold move for Rockstar Games to announce “GTA 6” via “GTA Online”. But at this point, neither the game studio nor its parent company Take-Two Interactive have confirmed that “GTA 6” is in development or in the pipeline.

It’s also worth mentioning that the job listing doesn’t specifically mention that any marketing campaigns would be for the next “Grand Theft Auto” iteration. Therefore, fans should take this latest information with skepticism until Rockstar Games makes an official announcement.

“GTA 6” is one of the most popular unannounced games in the industry. The title is believed to be in development.
