Take-Two resolves lack of updates for Red Dead Online –

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has acknowledged fan frustration with the lack of updates for Red Dead Online.

Speaking to IGN, Zelnick said:

“Rockstar Games is talking about upcoming updates, and we’re working hard on Rockstar Games. I’ve heard the frustration, it’s flattering that they want more content, and Rockstar will say more about that in due course.

Fans of Red Dead Online, the multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2, campaigned online. The #SaveRedDeadOnline hashtag indicates a slightly restless player base. Red Dead Online is, of course, nowhere near as popular as Grand Theft Auto Online. So it makes sense that Rockstar is focusing its efforts on supporting this game.

Zelnick initially said the game would be supported long term. But a follow-up email sent to IGN clarified that Zelnick “referred to online servers only.” In terms of actual content updates, Zelnick hasn’t committed.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was a very good game indeed. In VideoGamer’s review, Colm Ahern said:

“Few worlds are as well-realized as the one Rockstar created for Red Dead Redemption 2. With wonderful scripts and stellar performances, the characters you encounter randomly in the wild are captured as well as the ones you pass by. most of your days around camp. How do you keep up with Red Dead Redemption? You do Red Dead Redemption 2.
