VorpX Mod Adds Virtual Reality Support For GTA V And Red Dead Redemption II
VorpX is a tool that adapts many non-VR games to be played with VR headsets. New update adds automatic configuration for both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption II, offering an optimized virtual reality experience out of the box with a minimum of manipulations.
VorpX supports a long list of games, allowing users to play them using a VR headset with various adaptations that make them more suitable and comfortable in VR. While the app doesn’t add basic VR features like hand tracking, for many games it does add head tracking, stereoscopy, and other tweaks that make non-VR games playable to the app. inside the helmet.
VorpX offers a huge range of options for gamers to tweak games to feel good in VR, but it can be a complex process. Fortunately, the software includes built-in “FullVR” setups for specific games, making them VR-ready right out of the box.
The latest version of VorpX, v21.2.1, now includes “login mods” for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 that automatically configure games for “a great FullVR out-of-the-box experience.”
Connection mods implement perfect 1: 1 head tracking, decoupled walk / gaze / aim, automatic switching to EdgePeek in cutscenes and menu screens for enhanced comfort, and unique VR-optimized cameras for both games that eliminate foul-smelling head movements and where possible the equally foul-smelling moments where games briefly take away control, for example when getting into a car or riding a horse, ”the developer writes .
VorpX has been available in active development since at least 2013 and has seen regular updates adding new features and increasing the list of supported games. It supports all Oculus, SteamVR and WMR headsets.
